On March 15th, 2014, the Duke University School of Medicine held its annual Student-Faculty Show entitled “Star Wards”. Inspired by the epic film series, this year’s entirely student-run show offered a musical view at the experiences of a medical student at Duke.
In addition to serving as an outlet for our creative talents, each year’s show and accompanying silent auction raise money for a local charity. This year, the student body selected the Durham Rescue Mission. A non-profit organization, the Durham Rescue Mission is Durham’s oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter, providing food, clothing, permanent supportive housing, vocational training, Biblical counseling, job placement, education, accountability and much more to broken men, women and children in Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh. All net proceeds from ticket sales, silent auction items, and DVD sales will be donated to Durham Rescue Mission.
DVDs of the show are available for pre-order! The deadline for pre-orders is Friday, March 28th. Select a delivery option and click the Pay Now button to continue your order. If you select the pickup at TSCHE option, you will be notified via email when your DVD is available for pickup.
